The Island

The Island is a long-term project that explores Cuban society, its culture, and the transformations it has undergone over more than two decades. It is a documentary work which, at the same time, has a deeply personal dimension: an intimate look at an island that has shaped and accompanied me throughout all these years. Through its inhabitants, their stories, and the many worlds that coexist there, the project constructs my unique interpretation of Cuba and the relationship I have forged with its reality.
